Taylor Ward

Nashville, Tennessee

Ms. Ward grew up in Franklin, Tennessee and received her B.S. in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University.  After graduating, she worked for the Tennessee House Clerk’s Office.  

Ms. Ward attended the University of Tennessee College of Law where she graduated cum laude with a concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution.  During her time as a student, she was recognized by the College of Law for her pro bono service hours and was awarded the James L. Powers III Excellence in Criminal Advocacy Award for her work in the UT College of Law Legal Clinic.  Additionally, Ms. Ward competed in the UT College of Law’s internal moot court competition where she placed second after reaching the final round and presenting an oral argument before a panel of United States Court of Appeals judges. 

Before graduating, Ms. Ward interned for the Tennessee Justice Center in Nashville, Tennessee where she assisted clients with TennCare appeals.  She also interned for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee in the Appellate Division where she responded to motions and wrote an appellate brief that was filed with the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
